Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp’s press conferences are always full of colour.
Journalists buy into his energy and seem to enjoy the light-hearted nature of the German boss.
The Reds’ most recent press conference ahead of the clash against Leicester City was no exception with an inquisitive reporter asking Klopp a rather random question.
Reporter: Just to check, do you like boxing are you into boxing?
Klopp: Ah yeah I understood the question already…my father used to wake my up when I was kid at the time of Cassius Clay was boxing so yeah I like, I think but I’ve never had enough time watch it live in a stadium. I like it but I would never get up anymore (to watch) for a fight.”
The Liverpool manager then asked the reporter why would he ask such a bizarre question?
The reporter then explained there’s an official boxing fight in London tomorrow between Gennady Golovkin and Kell Brook in a middleweight bout and that’s why he asked the Reds boss.
Klopp, looking bemused, replied to him:
“Sorry but I’m not a boxing supporter because who (is boxing in this match) [laughs]?”
