Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is certainly a man capable of bringing the best out of his players, something which is happening at the moment with Jordan Henderson.
Following his wonder goal at Chelsea, everyone is again talking about Henderson and questioning whether he is good enough to contend at the very highest level. Having played every minute of the campaign so far, it is clear that the Liverpool captain’s confidence is at an all-time high.
In the five outings he has averaged 65 successful passes per game, 15 more than his previous best in the 2013-14 season, coming with greater accuracy of 88%.
The 26-year-old is also showing no fear when it comes to screening his defence, registering 2.4 won tackles and 1.4 interceptions each match, conversely driving the ball at opposition players with a surprising 100% success rate.
If the stunning goal at Stamford Bridge and these stats are anything to go by, expect big things from Henderson in 2016-17.
