Jackson Irvine scored an impressive strike from 20 yards to help earn Burton Albion to a hard-fought point away to Fulham.

The 23-year-old Socceroos midfielder scored on 51 minutes against the run of play and it looked as if the Championship minnows would hang on for a precious victory, only for 16-year-old defender Ryan Sessegnon to equalise in the 93rd minute.

Despite the late crushing blow the Burton fans were delighted with Irvine, heaping the club-record signing in praise following his fine display against Fulham.

Huddersfield Town suffered a 1-0 loss away to Brighton Hove Albion, with Aaron Mooy playing the full 90 minutes.

Massimo Luongo was not in the squad for QPR’s heavy 6-0 loss at home to Newcastle United, while Bailey Wright was an unused substitute in Preston North End’s 3-0 victory against Cardiff City.
