Arsenal have confirmed yet another setback for Theo Walcott, with the forward suffering a “mild knee injury”.

The 27-year-old missed out on the Gunners’ trip to Paris mid-week with the injury, and also looks to be a doubt for his side’s away meeting with Hull City on Saturday afternoon.

Walcott has been plagued with injuries in recent years, and only managed to play through the full 90 minutes on two occasions in the Premier League last season.

While it is believed that the injury is not a serious one, the 44-time England international, who was not picked for the recent European Championships, has a lot to do to reclaim a regular starting position in Arsene Wenger’s side.

Walcott’s performances have fallen under scrutiny from fans and pundits alike, and he has struggled to maintain consistent performances after suffering a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in an FA Cup fixture with Tottenham in early 2014, which kept him out of the game for six months.

The Arsenal number 14 has made four appearances in the Premier League so far this season, scoring one goal and laying off another.
