Melbourne Victory returned to their best in empathic fashion with a 4-0 win over Brisbane Roar earlier this evening.
The visitors were given little chance from the outset, with Fahid Ben Khalfallah opening the scoring in the fifth minute in the low drive and the reigning A-League champions never looking back.
Kosta Barbarouses’ first of the evening doubled the lead soon after, and largely putting the game beyond doubt by the half-hour mark with his second. A sublime performance from Kevin Muscat’s men was capped-off in perfect fashion by Besart Berisha early into the second-half.
Victory fans were undeerstandably ecstatic with the result, that throws them right back into contention for back-to-back A-League titles.
