Liverpool have handed Aston Villa a football lesson, after a 6-0 hammering at Villa Park.
The Reds were completely dominant from the first whistle till the last, although it must be noted that Villa were atrocious and are destined for the drop.
Jurgen Klopp was able to start the attacking trio of Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge for the first time and it worked a treat.

Sturridge opened the scoring with a superb header on 16 minutes, following Philippe Coutinho’s well weighted cross.
Liverpool doubled their advantage through a James Milner free-kick that deceived Mark Bunn and a lacklustre Villa defence.
After the break matters got worse for the home team when Emre Can smashed in a rasping drive from just outside the box to make it 3-0 on 58 minutes.
Substitute Divock Origi replaced Sturridge and scored within 27 seconds of being on the pitch, after he was played clean through with only the goalkeeper to beat.
Nathaniel Clyne and Kolo Toure completed the rout with opportunistic goals to move up to eighth and consign rock-bottom Villa to a miserable afternoon.
Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter:
Sturridge’s return to #LFC starting XI transformative. They’ve scored 6 in each of his past two starts. #AVFC so bad pic.twitter.com/0OB2vYbNCk

Seen more than my fair share of half-arsed cowards over the years as a Sunderland fan, but this #AVFC side are up there with worst of them.

Lerner & Fox might as well change the name to Under Armour FC, because this is not Aston Villa FC anymore. #avfc #lfc

We all like Remi, but let me make this simple. Garde getting the #AVFC job is like @GNev2 getting the Valencia job. Madness.

Since Klopp took charge, only Spurs, Everton and Leicester have scored more goals than Liverpool in the PL (Man City may add to this later).

Again though it’s Liverpool flattering to deceive. 6-1 against Saints. 5-4 against Norwich. draw with Sunderland. So unpredictable.

When the ball hits a part of Kolo Toure’s anatomy and finishes up in the back of your net, you deserve to go down. #LFC
