After three stalemates Jurgen Klopp has a victory as Liverpool at the fourth time of asking, with an encouraging 1-0 win against Bournemouth in the League Cup fourth round.

Nathaniel Clyne opened the scoring on 17 minutes, following a sweeping move that saw the right-back free at the back post to prod the ball into an empty net.
The second half saw Liverpool retain majority of possession and create a handful of decent chances, but they again couldn’t find another route to goal.
The Reds and their German manager now have a platform to build upon, with a testing trip away to Chelsea in the Premier League the next assignment.
