The nightmare rolls on Chelsea, after a shock 1-0 loss to Premier League minnows Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge.
Jose Mourinho’s men were largely ineffective in the final third and were not helped when a clear penalty went against them, plus the away side’s winning goal was hugely questionable for offside.
Another defeat for the reigning league champions sees them languishing in 14th, just three points above the relegation zone and with their top four hopes all but over.
With the daunting prospect of hosting a Porto side yet to taste defeat in their domestic league for a Champions League knockout spot, the Blues’ decorated manager is fighting for his Chelsea career.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to Chelsea’s embarrassing defeat:
Mourinho: “Our objective is to finish top four … but maybe now we have to think about top six.” #cfc

Or, to put it in a different context, Mourinho and Chelsea are 4 points worse off than Liverpool were under Hodgson after 15 games in 10/11.

There was a time mourinho went 9 years unbeaten at home. Now they’re handing out 3 points home and away. Philanthropy

Very hard to feel sorry for someone who can’t be gracious in defeat or magnanimous in victory. #Mourinho

Been here to often this season, but my views on #CFC remain the same. Changing manager isn’t the solution. Too short-termist.

AFC Bournemouth, a soccer club valued at less than $3 million in 2011, beat mighty Chelsea, today valued at $1.4 billion, on the road today.

Twitter has the shortest memory. Mourinho won the league and League Cup last year. He gets to the end of this season for me. Possibly more.
