Liverpool left-back Brad Smith made his first full Anfield debut in his side’s 3-0 victory against Exeter City in a third round replay FA Cup tie.
The Australian was a standout performer for a youthful Reds outfit, continually marauding down the left flank and overlapping to great effect.

After scoring a late goal away to Exeter to earn Liverpool a replay at Anfield, the 21-year-old played a pivotal role for the opening goal when he combined beautifully with Christian Benteke and squared an inch-perfect pass for Joe Allen to stroke home from close range.
That type of work ethic and combination play was a hallmark of a hugely impressive display, which follows a string of encouraging performances for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
First-choice left-back Alberto Moreno has experienced erratic patches of form and his position is under threat.
