Adelaide United continued their return to form with a 3-1 win at nib Stadium

The Glory got off to the perfect start, taking the lead inside the first ten minutes after Chris Harold forced Tarek Elrich to put the ball into his own net. However, Harold missed a golden opportunity to put his team further ahead minutes later and Adelaide were able to equalise after Bruce Djite and Marcelo Carrusca combined to set up Sergio Cirio.

What We Learned – Perth Glory 1 Adelaide United 3

Things went downhill for the home side just moments before half time as central defender Alex Grant was shown a straight red card for a challenge on Craig Goodwin. Adelaide then took the lead just minutes into the second half after a fine individual effort from Marcelo Carrusca. Despite a deluge of possession, Adelaide failed to build on their lead and found themselves put under pressure by the Glory more than once as they searched for an equaliser.

Unfortunately for Kenny Lowe’s men though, the level of commitment required ton play with ten players cost Perth in the end as Craig Goodwin scored his side’s third goal in stoppage time.
