Manchester City continued their perfect 2016-17 record with a 4-0 win over Bournemouth at the Etihad earlier tonight.
Kevin De Bruyne’s free-kick put the Sky Blues ahead after 15 minutes and when Kelechi Iheanacho added to the advantage soon after it looked as though the contest was going in one direction.
The Cherries never had an answer for the tactical precision of Pep Guardiola’s side, with Raheem Sterling and summer signing Ilkay Gundogan adding their names to the score sheet in the second half to complete another resounding victory. A late red card to Nolito was the only cloud on City’s performance, who have now claimed five wins from five.
Here are the best reactions to come from Twitter after the result:
Who is playing better than De Bruyne right now in the EPL? #MCIBOU #MCFC

Don’t know why anyone would agree a season long loan to afcb. Ake must be scratching his head. #AFCB

Pep and his 0.5 billion pound squad were too much today for us. Those are battles not meant for #afcb yet

If the red card shown to Nolito is exactly what the law says, I’m against it. #EPL #MCIBOU

It’s the nature of defeat that causes frustration. We probably all expected a drubbing, but we don’t seem to learn #afcb
