Sergio Aguero registered a double on his return to the Premier League, spearheading a 3-1 Manchester City victory over Swansea.
The Argentine had to wait just nine minutes to open the scoring with a cool close-range finish, but the advantage would only last until Fernando Llorente volleyed home his first goal for the Swans soon after.
The deadlock would not be broken until the hour-mark, when Aguero was on hand to dispatch a penalty after Mike van Der Hoorn was judged to have fouled Kevin De Bruyne in the box.
Raheem Sterling was then at the end of a razor sharp counter with some silky footwork, sealing a second win at the Liberty Stadium inside a week and the 10th straight in all competitions for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Here are some of the best reactions to come from Twitter after the result:
Who will stop this @ManCity ?? Surely they ‘re running away with it..! Little bit worried. #SWAMCI @premierleague

Swansea were very good there, gave us a game but our class prevailed in the end, another win, perfect start to the season #SWAMCI

Bullshit penalty changed the game. If John stones did what Van Her hoon did that penalty would not be giving, no chance! #SWAMCI

I can handle losing. But when defeat comes at the hands of a referee it is hard to take. Felt totally cheated today. #swans #SWAMCI

A better team will thrash City, we had a goal disallowed, a penalty dismissed and the ref awarded them a nonexistent penalty #SWAMCI

So… how long until Ryan Giggs becomes #Swans coach? Hope it’s sooner rather than later! #SWAMCI
