Arsenal legend Freddie Ljungberg expects to be seeing Jack Wilshere back at the Emirates.

Wilshere secured a deadline day loan move to Bournemouth for the 2016-17 campaign, with constant injury and new signings threatening his starting spot under Arsene Wenger.

However, Ljungberg believes the Englishman will utilise his time with the Cherries to bounce back into the Arsenal setup.

“I don’t know the ins and outs of the deal but everyone knows Jack is an amazing talent,” the Swede said to the London Evening Standard.

“I love him but if he could play 38 games for Bournemouth then he’d be back here playing and starting again.

“I just think he’s had bad luck. He’d play well for six, seven games then he gets injured again and it’s a vicious circle.

“If he can play 38 games then he’ll be back and starting again.”

Ljungberg made over 200 appearances from 1998-2007 for the Gunners, lifting two Premier League trophies and three FA Cups. He recently featured for the Arsenal old boys side that won 4-2 in a charity game against the AC Milan legends.
