Sunderland have confirmed the signing of Steven Pienaar on a one-year deal for a free transfer after the player was released by Everton at the end of last season. The move sees the former South African captain reunite with David Moyes at the Black Cats.

Watford added two more players to their squad overnight, with just over a week remaining in the transfer window. Younes Kaboul became the first signing of the day – joining the Hornets from fellow Premier League side Sunderland on a three-year deal.

The club then confirmed the signing of Juventus midfielder Roberto Pereyra on a five-year contract after weeks of speculation. The Argentinian international’s signature is a major coup for Watford, who will be hoping to cement their Premier League status once again this season.

It appears as if Romelu Lukaku could be set to remain at Goodison Park according to reports from the Daily Mirror. The Belgian international has told manager Ronald Koeman he is willing to reject Chelsea’s approach to stay with the Toffees, for this season at least.

Joe Hart may not be the only man to leave the Etihad this summer speculates the Manchester Evening News.  Wilfried Bony, Eliaquim Mangala, Samir Nasri and Yaya Toure could all also be on their way out of Pep Guardiola’s side before the transfer window closes.

When it comes to buying players, Manchester City may also be far from though claims the Daily Mirror. The Sky Blues are said to be keen on 19-year-old midfielder Ante Coric from Dinamo Zagreb.

Arsenal forward Joel Campbell appears set for another loan spell this season reports the Express. The Costa Rican international could be set to join Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon for the duration of 2016-17.

Tottenham have one eye on the future in relation to their goalkeeping stocks, as Sky Sports rumours that the North Londoners are interested in signing Espanyol’s Pau Lopez.
