On-loan Everton forward Enner Valencia says he is hoping to spend more time in the middle of the pitch at his new club.

The Ecuadorian was one of two of Everton’s deadline day signings, following youngster Dominic Calvert-Lewin to Merseyside in the final minutes of the summer transfer window.

Often deployed as a winger under Slaven Bilic, Valencia is hoping to play his preferred role in a side whose quality appealed to him.
