Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has proclaimed that his team are unstoppable after claiming their third straight victory, a 5-1 romp over VfL Wolfsburg.
Dortmund put the hosts to the sword, scoring their 17th goal in three games which included consecutive 6-0 victories against Legia Warsaw and Darmstadt.
Aubameyang, 27, who scored two on the night says he and his teammates cannot be stopped, but outlined the need to keep the same level of application at training.
“Nothing can stop us, nothing,” the Gabon international told reporters following the match.
“Of course I’m happy about my two goals and again we have played a great game.”
“But we must not be satisfied, we must continue to work hard anyway.”
Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel was quick to point out his team were far from the finished product.
“I’m more happy about the consecutive victories and the away win that we’ve managed,” he said.
“The position in the Bundesliga table is obviously always the result of these victories, but there are a few teams which can surpass us.”
“We’ve also lost a match [to RB Leipzig] not that long ago and we can evaluate that correctly.”
Dortmund’s next Bundesliga match is against Freiburg this coming Friday.
