Tom Rogic – Celtic
A week after Mark Schwarzer won his second straight English top-flight title, Tom Rogic was a part of the Celtic side which won the Scottish Premier League, starting the match and playing 82 minutes in their 3-2 win over Aberdeen on the weekend. It was a tense finish in the game as Celtic nearly blew a 3-0 lead in the second-half. Two early goals to Patrick Roberts set the stage for the Hoops to cruise to the finish line, but a late fightback made things interesting. In the end Celtic were able to hold on and clinch another league title.

Robbie Kruse – Bayer Leverkusen
Bayer Leverkusen’s push for a Champions League return looks set to be a success despite a 2-1 loss to Borussia Munchengladbach. Winger Robbie Kruse played a full game for the German side but could not help them to victory. They took the lead in the 20th minute through Charles Aranguiz, yet the advantage would not last after a goal either side of halftime to Andre Hahn. With one round left, Leverkusen are locked into third place behind Dortmund and Bayern, guaranteeing them a spot in Europe’s top club competition next season.
Trent Sainsbury – Jiangsu Suning
The Socceroos defender was a part of an impressive victory as they defeated Beijing Guoan 2-1 away from home despite playing a man down for 50 minutes. After taking an early lead through Sammir, the hosts levelled the score in the 24th minute. Brazillian Alex Teixeira picked up two yellow cards in the space of three minutes just before halftime giving Beijing the advantage, yet Jiansu took the lead in the 64th with a goal from Li Ang. They were able to hold on and secure a vital three points as the result vaulted them into second place on the table.

Tim Cahill & Matthew Spiranovic – Huangzhou Greentown
Cahill scored a penalty for his club as they went down 2-1 to heavyweights Guangzhou Evergrande. It gave the Chinese side hope, but the two goals they conceded in the first-half were just too much. Matthew Spiranovic also played a full game for the side as they have been in free fall over the last five weeks, claiming only one point which will not sit well with the ultra-competitive Cahill. They are on seven and tied with two other teams, just one point off the relegation zone.
