One of the great aspects of football is the ability for players to rise from the most unlikely of sources. These stories have been splashed across the world as low budget Leicester City have taken the Premier League by storm.

Non-league Jamie Vardy signed for a mere £1 million. Likewise for Riyad Mahrez, another star performer was plucked from Ligue 2 outfit Le Havre for the rather modest sum of £500,000.

In FIFA 16, finding a bargain requires just as much shrewd judgment as a battling Leicester scout. A firm understanding of your budget and wage structure as well as the strengths and weaknesses in the playing list – not to mention your style of play.

The strong community at AUSFIFA was on hand to discuss some of the best bargain buys for FIFA 16 in order to compile a top selection of talent. See here for our discussion.

Bartlomieji Dragowski – Goalkeeper – Jagiellonia Bialystok

We have all been in a situation when the goalkeeper makes a howler. Being the only position in FIFA 16 controlled by the computer you are left fuming as the ball trickles into the net. Dragowski comes Poland, a country known for producing high level goalkeepers. With potential to grow and valued at two million, find the funds to add the 18-year-old to your squad.

Jonathan Tah – Centre Back – Bayer Leverkusian

The U19 youth captain was snapped up by Bayer Leverkusen at the start of the season just as he should be in your FIFA 16 career mode. It is rather hard to find young quality centre backs but this German fits the bill. He may not be the fastest player but he makes up for this with his size, strength and ability in the tackle. Traits that are reflected at such a young age will only see him grow into a monster in FIFA16.

Ruban Neves – Central Defensive Midfield – FC Porto

Porto FC are known for their production of youth talent and Ruban Neves is yet another example. The 18-year-old is priced at 3.2 million but you should be able to snap him up for half that price. Such a young and well balanced player (a rating of 74) bodes well for a lengthy career with your club of choice.

Youri Tielemans – Centre Midfield – RSC Anderlecht

The most expensive player on this list he comes in at 7.5 million but also an impressive potential of 90. The young Belgian is set for big things. At a strong rating of 75 it would be a great idea to sign the midfielder. Has to be mentioned due to his outstanding projections in the FIFA16 engine.

Kelechi Iheanacho – Striker – Manchester City

The young striker has made 26 appearances for Manchester City this season which could have seen his value to be re-evaluated on FIFA 16. That said, the young Nigerian is still worth considering on loan. If funds allow, consider Iheanacho for your squad. Manuel Pellegrini has deemed him good enough and so should you.

These talents are the cream of the crop remember there are many players with the same upward trajectory like the aforementioned talent to be found in FIFA16. Remember to consider the roles you need to fill on your playing squad and the importance of the ‘spine of talent’ down the middle of the pitch in building a successful squad.
