Liverpool registered its second straight win at Stamford Bridge with a 2-1 win against Chelsea.

The Reds could not be contained from the outset, completely bossing the game in the opening 45 with goals to Dejan Lovren and a superb Jordan Henderson.

Chelsea pegged one back through the in-form Diego Costa, but Jurgen Klopp’s men got the job done at the Bridge again, handing Antonio Conte his first loss as Blues manager.

Captain John Terry was forced to watch from the sidelines after sustaining an injury in Chelsea’s 2-2 draw against Swansea City last weekend.

The club’s new manager was quick to sound out the club veteran, suggesting his guidance and organisational skills in defence were sorely missed.

“I think we missed the organisation [of Terry] in certain situations: free-kicks, throw-ins. You must pay attention,” Conte said.

“In the first half I must be honest, I think that we gave away two goals – the first after a free-kick that they took very quickly and the second after a throw-in, and Henderson received the ball free and shot from long distance, a great goal.

“When you give away two goals in this way, I think it’s very difficult because against Liverpool you play with a great team, these are tough games and I think that you must pay attention in every moment, in every single minute of the game, every second, because the details make the difference.”

Conte and Chelsea will be hoping Terry can make a return for the Blues’ huge clash away to fierce rivals Arsenal next Saturday.
