Andreas Pereira claims he has been assured by Jose Mourinho that his future lies at Old Trafford.

The midfielder made four Premier League appearances for the Red Devils since his promotion to the senior team in 2014, but will look to gain first team experience on loan at Granada for the 2016-17 season.

However, Pereira says he has it on the authority of the ‘Special One’ that he is very much part of the future plans for Manchester United.

“Mourinho told me that he likes my style of play a lot and that he liked what I did in preseason,” the Brazil international said to Globo Esporte.

“He wants to see how I play in Spain and then wants me to go back and play for him next season.”

The 20-year-old appears to have indeed caught the eye of the new Man United manager, scoring in their opening preseason friendly against Wigan.

“I love Andreas Pereira as a player and I would love to have him in my squad…but he will go to Granada,” Mourinho had said before his move.
