Storied Bundesliga and German national team striker Kevin Kuranyi could be playing the A-League next season.
As reported on the Daily Football Show yesterday, Kuranyi is the mystery marquee Adelaide United have been chasing, with the Advertiser reporting that the Reds will have an answer by the weekend.
The 34-year-old has scored 212 club goals in over 500 matches for clubs such as VfB Stuttgart, Schalke 04, Dinamo Moscow and Hoffenheim last season. He is now a free agent.
The Brazilian-born German represented Germany at the Euro 2004 and 2008, missing out on the squad for the World Cup in 2006.

The FFA are reported to be willing to dip into their pockets to aid the signing, as they have done with Tim Cahill at Melbourne City.
The signing would be a welcome boost for last season’s champions, who have lost several key players to overseas clubs, coupled by their recent FFA Cup exit to second-tiered Redlands United.
