Socceroo Aaron Mooy has capped off a stellar opening month for Huddersfield Town, recognised with a nomination for the Championship’s Player of the Month award for August.

He is one of four nominees alongside Fulham’s Tom Cairney, Wolves’ Matt Doherty and Barnsley’s Connor Hourihane.
In his opening five games with Huddersfield on loan from Manchester City, Mooy has notched up a pass accuracy of 87%, and his midfield prowess has consistently earned the praise of the Terriers faithful.
Mooy has already raked in numerous man of the match awards as well as Huddersfield’s Player of the Month and selection in English Football League’s Team of the Week for matchday one in his short time with the club.

Returning from a successful Socceroos camp, Town and Mooy will look to continue their impressive start to the season against West Yorkshire rivals Leeds United on Saturday.
The Player of the Month will be announced on Friday.
