A 10-man Sydney FC has survived a late Melbourne Victory onslaught to salvage a 1-1 draw in the Big Blue tonight.
It was a scrappy, but typically fiery, affair as David Carney’s first goal since returning to the Sky Blues canceled out Kosta Barbarouses’ strike in the first minute of the second half. Both sides now find themselves teetering on the cusp of the top six with Perth Glory and the Newcastle Jet breathing down their necks.
